Pxi Hybrid Slots
The M9010A PXIe chassis provides 8 hybrid-compatible slots for flexibility and compatibility. It utilizes a single PCI segment with PCIe-to-PCI bridge (Figure 1) for the hybrid slots. The PXIe slots are also organized into two trigger bus segments with configurable interconnections between segments. With 16 PXIe Hybrid slots, it allows the system designer to mix and match the number and location of PXIe and PXI-1 hybrid compatible modules essentially at will. It contains an advanced PCIe switch fabric that operates up to Gen 2 speeds and can be configured for optimal performance with most PXIe controller. The PXI Express (PXIe) product portfolio at Marvin Test Solutions(MTS) has been expanded with the introduction of three new PXIe chassis. The chassis offer a combination of PXIe, hybrid slots, and PXI-1, allowing users to configure the ideal combination of resources for general purpose as well as high-bandwidth test applications. PXI Express is usually more expensive, partly because of the lack of competition but also because the provision of Hybrid slots is more expensive. If you do need some PXIe slots to choose a chassis that is primarily or exclusively Hybrid PXI slots, either type can be fitted.
